About this Page
On 1 August 2011 I started a Block of the Month project (with a big wink!), with two small Food themed appliqué quilts (above). I am sharing the EQ7 project files with the entire quilts, and monthly pdf patterns per block (3 inch square).
Because the downloads page had become a mess, I decided to make two separate pages (English and Dutch) for all patterns of the Food BOM and Dutch Delights BOM.
I prepared several kinds of patterns, and I wrote a blog post about every Food BOM block, with pictures and descriptions of how I made it. I am giving the links to the posts as well below. I did not actually make the Dutch Delights BOM as a quilt, but of course you can use my tips and descriptions for the Food BOM for the Dutch Delights BOM as well.
Patterns, Project files and Links
Food BOM – Entire Quilt
Click the links below for:
- Food BOM EQ7 file (with notes in English on the notecards for the quilts and blocks. It is the same information you will find in Dutch on the notecards in the ‘Hollandse Hap’ [Dutch Delights] EQ7 file).
- Pattern sheet with all templates for the entire Food BOM Quilt. (Each template only once), with a quarter inch seam allowance. The larger circles are all 2 inches. I would use beads or embroidery for the smaller circles.
- Pattern sheet with all templates with a quarter inch seam allowance in mirror image.
- Pattern sheet with all templates without seam allowance, to use with felt, for example.
- Pattern sheet with all templates without seam allowance, in mirror image, to use for fusible appliqué.
- My first post about this Quilt design
- A tip to save on freezer paper when printing all the line drawings of the blocks.
- The quilt finished!
